#301 - Sarum
Tunic |
|
 |
The Sarum Tunic is knit in one piece with a lacey cast-on hem and
unusual shoulder shaping. This shoulder shaping was "un-vented" by
Elizabeth Zimmermann (modified by Deb) which she called "nalgar"
shoulder shaping. Take the letters of "raglan" and reverse ... just
like the shaping. Instead of going in towards the neck the should
shaping goes out towards the elbow. This is a very cool way to knit
a sweater as the shoulder shaping also creates the arms of the
sweater. No picking up for the sleeves! Neat.
